Harley-Davidson has signed on as the exclusive motorcycle sponsor of GreenZone Hero, which identifies businesses committed to being veteran-friendly.
“Harley-Davidson has a long history of supporting the military,” said Tim Budzien, Harley-Davidson’s Director of Membership Programs, in a press statement. “We’re honored to sponsor GreenZone Hero as a thank you to all those who have dedicated their lives to protect our freedom.”
A “green zone” is a safe place in a combat zone and GreenZone Hero provides a “safe” place for veterans, their families and friends to do business. With more than 25 million veterans residing in the United States, the GreenZone Hero goal is to secure a company’s reputation as an active and dedicated supporter of our U.S. veterans. GreenZone Hero gained momentum in 2016 and currently lists veteran-friendly businesses in more than 25 states across America.
GreenZone Hero founder and Army veteran John Krotec said: “Harley-Davidson exemplifies the business spirit towards all military and veterans – an American Legend. I believe the soul of Harley-Davidson was created by the spirit of our military.
“The Harley-Davidson brand connotes a sense of strength and stability, something veterans need after serving. Our goal is to help make the connection between our veteran-friendly businesses and American patriotism and liberty,” added Krotec.
