BNI's (Business Network International) Mission is to help members increase their business through a structured, positive and professional referral marketing program that enables them to develop long-term, meaningful relationships with quality business professionals. There are more than 50 BNI chapters in the communities of Southwest Florida including:
BNI SWFL serves Charlotte, Collier, De Soto, Glades, Hardee, Hendry, Highlands, Monroe, Lee, Manatee, Polk and Sarasota Counties. The philosophy of BNI is built upon the idea of "Givers Gain". BNI offers members the opportunity to share ideas, contacts, networks and most importantly, business referrals. Being a member of BNI is like having sales people working for you every day who market your product or service. If referrals are an important part of your business, then BNI is the organization for you. And it works! In 2015, over 190,000 members of BNI worldwide passed over 7.7 million referrals which resulted in more than $9.3 billion in business! Started in January 1985 by Dr. Ivan R. Misner, BNI provides a positive, supportive, and structured environment for men and women to further their business through referral marketing.Networking requires commitment. The most successful chapters of BNI consist of members who are sincerely committed to helping one another through networking. They are a team. As a participant in BNI, you are responsible for complying with the policies and guidelines of the organization. The first step is to find a chapter and visit in order to see what BNI is all about. Explaining a BNI meeting is like giving a haircut over the phone - not very effective. BNI meetings are best experienced in person. A partial list of the policies of BNI is shown below:
