We recognize and serve American businesses that recognize and serve veterans. Our unique patented cyber-medal system quickly identifies what these “veteran-friendly” businesses do for our veterans. Every single company in America has an opportunity to be branded as "veteran-friendly" busines and to be recognized for “doing the right thing” by supporting our veterans, active duty personnel, and their families.

Also, we partner with select veteran-focused nonprofit organizations, calling them the GZH Ambassadors. GZH pays our Ambassador a portion of the enlistment fee for every business they help (or refer)recruit for us. This unique recruitment program can help our Ambassadors fund their important initiatives. Additionally, GZH pays our Ambassadors a portion of a members' renewal fee. This is not just another hand-out. This innovative unique program allows our Ambassadors to earn residual funding through the recruitment process. The veterans win, the businesses win, the Nonprofits win, and GZH wins.

We promote and acknowledge businesses that sign up to GreenZone Hero. As this community grows and more and more people use it, every business from the community will get more recognition; that should turn into more business, and that should turn into more jobs (many for veterans), and so on.

There are many other features that set us apart from the other directories. We give our members a BEST PRACTICES MANUAL, updated and realtime CASE STUDIES, as well as OUTREACH TOOLS to reach more of the veteran and military marketplace.  We are always looking for those who want to help this community, and we make it happen. At the most basic level, being “Veteran-Friendly” supporting and appreciating veterans and those currently serving men and women of our armed services. Your support for their sacrifice means a lot to them.  If you want to take it a step further and give special pricing, hire them, or give to veteran-friendly organizations, etc., that’s even better as your company will earn more medals!

This is a daily pursuit. Besides the web directory platform, we work directly with many organizations that serve veterans and are constantly reaching out to more.  Additionally, targeted press releases, special events, social media, and personal email contact There are many out there, but there is no single source where you can find them all—until now.  As we reach out to more and more of these veteran organizations, we will add them to our directory as a way to help even more businesses and people.

This is also a daily pursuit.  We are working with base outreach programs throughout the country and overseas to spread the word.  On average, active duty personnel get transferred every two to-four years, and we want to provide them with a list of “Veteran-Friendly” businesses around their new duty stations.

Currently, 25 million (25,000,000) veterans reside in the United sates with over 20,000 leaving the service every month. The “Military Affinity Population” consisting of active duty, National Guard, Reserve, and veterans and their families accounts for 1/3 of the U.S. population-one in three potential customers has a military connection.  They have a spending power of nearly 1 trillion ($1,000,000,000,000) dollars per year.

Additionally, the military retail market has 12.3 million patrons and spends $19.8 billion per year.  Active military family income is twice the US average of non-veteran family income. On average, veterans earn $5400 more annually in non-veterans.

ABSOLUTELY! We think of businesses that have no medals (yet) as Basic Trainees.  As they move forward, they’ll want to stay focused on our mission and earn medals along the way.  One of the reasons for the medals is to help highlight the benefits of working with the veteran community.  In fact, most of the businesses that join our community start out with just one or no medals.
